How Does Staffturk Kennel’s Reckless Breeding Lead to the Birth of Sick Dogs?
This dog kennel irresponsibly and ignorantly conducts blue-to-blue breedings because they know that blue dogs are in higher demand and sell for higher prices, leading to the birth of sick dogs carrying CDA. You can find more information about CDA below.

What is Color Dilution Alopecia (CDA)?
Color Dilution Alopecia is a condition seen in some dogs that results in hair loss. This issue typically arises in dogs bred for unusual coat colors. For example, dogs with light brown or blue (a grayish tone) coats are affected. This disease causes the dog’s hair to fall out, leaving patches of bare skin. On a cellular level, abnormalities in the hair follicles and irregular accumulation of pigment (melanin) in the hair are observed.
What Does This Disease Mean for Your Dog and You?
Dogs with this condition are born with a normal coat. However, symptoms typically begin to appear around 6 months of age in dogs with lighter blue or light brown coats. In dogs with darker blue coats, these symptoms may not become visible until they are 2 to 3 years old. Your dog may experience hair loss and dry skin issues. Additionally, infections in the hair follicles can lead to small, inflamed bumps on the back. While these infections can be temporarily treated with antibiotics, the lost hair usually does not grow back, and the hair loss continues.
Initially, hair loss is noticed on the back, but within 2-3 years, it spreads to the lighter-colored areas of the body. The exposed skin may become flaky and more sensitive to sunburn or cold weather.
Breeding Advice
Do not breed blue dogs carrying the CDA gene! Stand against kennels that do. Hundreds of blue dogs with the CDA gene are being bred every year to generate more profit, and these dogs suffer throughout their lives. Imagine feeling constant itching and pain for your entire life. Most dogs are forced to live with this stress and pain for their whole lives!
